DEFA is a kind of defoamer for water-based drilling fluids, mainly composed of low fluorescence organic esters and non-toxicity surfactants. Its appearance is brown flow liquid with slight camsing odor. DEFA has a strong capacity of defoaming and lubricity with salt and acid-base resistance, anti-calcium and anti-magnesium in water-based drilling fluids.
